Prof. Dapeng Zhang

Prof.Dapeng Zhang currently serves as the Presidential Chair Professor of the School of Data Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and also holds the position of Director of the Computer Vision Research Center at the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (AIRS).

Prof. Zhang received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Peking University, and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 1982 and 1985, respectively. From 1986 to 1988, he conducted postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University under the supervision of Academician Chang Tong. In 1994, he received his second Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He has long served as a distinguished visiting professor at Tsinghua University, and is also an adjunct professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, National University of Defense Technology, and the University of Waterloo, Canada. In terms of academic achievements, Prof. Zhang has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals and conferences, with a total citation count exceeding 107,000 and an H-index of 151.

His research interests include pattern recognition, image processing, and biometrics.

Professor Han Guangjie

Dr. Guangjie Han is currently a Full Professor (Tier II) and Doctoral Supervisor, serving as the Dean of the College of Information Science and Engineering at Hohai University, China. He holds the distinctions of IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, and AAIA Fellow. He serves as an Associate Editor for more than ten international journals, includingIEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII),IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (TCCN),IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT),IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (TNSM), andIEEE Systems Journal, among others. He has been honored with the Jiangsu Province "333 High-Level Talent" Program (Tier II), the title of Distinguished Young and Middle-Aged Expert in Jiangsu Province, and the Changzhou City May Day Labor Medal.

Prof. Han has published over 380 high-quality SCI-indexed papers in prestigious international journals such asIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC),IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC),IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS), andIEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking (TON), among which more than 140 papers appear in IEEE/ACM Transactions series. His scholarly work has received over 21,900 citations on Google Scholar, with an H-index of 79. He has been consecutively listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists (2019–2024) and has been recognized as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier for five consecutive years (2020–2024). In 2025, he was further included in the Scholar GPS Global Top 0.05% Distinguished Scientist List. He has led more than 30 provincial/ministerial and national-level research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China and key programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has received 10 provincial/ministerial-level awards and holds 144 authorized domestic and international invention patents.

His primary research interests encompass artificial intelligence, underwater acoustic communication and networking, industrial Internet of Things (IoT), and network and security.

Prof. Pascal Lorenz received hisM.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nancy, France, in 1990 and 1994, respectively. From 1990 to 1995, he served successively as a Research Engineer at WorldFIP Europe and the Alcatel-Alsthom Group. He has been a Professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995.

Prof. Lorenz has authored 3 books, holds 3 patents, and has published over 200 papers in leading international journals and conferences.

He has served as Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. He was Chair of the IEEE Communications Society France Chapter (2020–2024) and Treasurer of the IEEE France Section (2017–2022), and has chaired multiple IEEE ComSoc Technical Committees. He served as a member of the IEEE Region 8 Finance Committee (2022–2026) and the IEEE Region 8 Conference Coordination Committee (2023).

Prof. Lorenz has held leadership roles in major conferences, including Technical Program Co-Chair for IEEE WCNC 2012 and ICC 2004, Executive Vice-Chair for ICC 2017, Technical Program Vice-Chair for Globecom 2018, Workshops Co-Chair for Globecom 2016, Tutorial Chair for VTC 2013-Spring and WCNC 2010, and Track Chair for PIMRC 2012 and WCNC 2014. He currently serves as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Communication Systems (Wiley-IJCS), Security and Communication Networks (Wiley-SCN), and the Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier-JNCA). He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IARIA, and an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer (2013–2014, 2026–2027). His publications have received over 10,800 citations, with an H-index of 46.

His research interests include Quality of Service (QoS), wireless networks, and high-speed networks.
